The Radical Path of Immersion

 

This sanctuary is a living bridge between two worlds. We replace the outdated "pet and owner" hierarchy with a model of cross species learning, utilizing a lifestyle of 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year immersion to document the sophisticated, latent intelligence of corvids.

 

By providing total autonomy in high-trust environments, we reveal the emergent cognitive abilities — symbolic language, mechanical logic, and social empathy, that have been obscured by 2,000+ years of human-centric bias. Our work serves as a blueprint for upgrading global animal welfare and moving beyond basic care to recognize animals as sentient, cognitive peers.

In addition to our research, Nick offers expert training and advice via online consultations and occasionally in person. This is highly specialized guidance focused on bridging the 2,000+ year information gap and teaching a comprehensive understanding of sentient logic and cross species. These sessions serve as the practical foundation for our future Training Academy, empowering others to fundamentally upgrade their relationship with the natural world.

 

Our Mission

  - Rehabilitation & Social Anchoring: We provide a stable, cross-species family unit where rescued birds can recover and learn the "essential geometry of the wild" from resident mentors.

  - Cultural Understanding  & Restoration: We highlight the biological reality behind corvids, a sophisticated form of non-human genius. The goal is to restore our understanding of species.

Who are we

We are a specialized sanctuary and research collective dedicated to the uninterrupted study of corvid intelligence. By living in 24/7 immersion with ravens like Ragnar and Frith, we bridge the 2,000+ year information gap between human society and the natural world, moving beyond the roles of "owner" or "trainer" to become cognitive peers with the species we protect.
